Can you believe that there is only 46 days until Christmas!

#1 – Phone-Face Protection

I reckon I have dropped my phone on my face at least 10 times. This is enough for me to be interested in this beautiful invention that prevents such a thing happening.

#2 – Wooden Satellite

The worlds first wooden satellite has been launched into space by a research team out of Japan in an effort to prove that wood is space grade material. I think the coolest part of this is that they used traditional Japanese woodworking techniques and constructed the wooden satellite without any glue or screws.

#3 – Steal the Naughty List

When I think of a family project, my mind goes to something like a jigsaw puzzle, not creating a feature length stop motion Christmas film. But that is exactly what this homeschooling family in Mississippi has managed to pull off.

#4 – Canal+

Some of my all time favourite ads are the classic Canal+ spots. The cinematic story telling is just so entertaining. This new spot for the brand is no exception. Great story telling, beautifully crafted, single minded message to take away, and classic 90’s action vibes to boot.

#5 – Jakob Grosse-Ophoff

The hand carved, moving-sculptures of Jakob Grosse-Ophoff made me smile. I think it’s because they are so simple and silly, but also might be the fact he carved most of them with a chainsaw.
