Hello Friends,

Another week, and as it starts to warm up again Fridays are getting better and better.

#1 – Illustrated People

Fair skinned as I am, I know only too well the pain of getting sunburnt. Which is why I am even more impressed by photographer Thomas Mailaender burning old photographs onto the skin of “willing” participants.

#2 – Kong Studios

Sometimes you just need a reminder of how far we have come, this online game for the Gorillaz was considered cutting edge when it first came out, but this flash game still holds up, even if it is just nostalgia.

#3 – A Dubai Chocolate Theory of the Internet

This podcast blew my mind. I don’t often think about tiktok but I guarantee you will never think about social media the same way once you have listened to this.

#4 – The Great British Bakeoff

I love this promo for the GBBO. A mix of food photography and stop motion animation. simple and brilliant craft.

#5 – World Illustration Awards

Once again I am reminded how much I love human creativity. The World illustration awards are one of my favourite sources of genuine originality, something that I am constantly searching for, and something that is becoming increasingly in short supply. Well worth having a browse and getting some serious inspiration.
