JB's Friday 5
15032024
Hello Friends,
It’s Friday, give yourself a pat on the back you made it through another week.
#1 – Synapse Code
Like an excel spreadsheet gained consciousness and started breathing while exploring nature. At least thats what I thought when I watched this pretty unique short film.
#2 – Getty Open Content
The Getty open content project has added 88000 pieces to its digital collection under the CC0 creative commons license. That means you can freely use it for pretty much anything without having to ask for permission. How good is art.
#3 – Bubble Wrap
This is a site that has one purpose, you’re welcome and I’m sorry.
#4 – Akira Toriyama
Illustrator Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1st. Toriyama, best known for creating "Dragon Ball," left an indelible mark on the world of manga and animation. I loved his style, his sense of humour, his story telling. His vibrant characters and dynamic storytelling continue to inspire. This is just a sample gallery of his iconic illustrations.
#5 – Serial Cut Lamps
Madrid based creative and art direction studio, Serial Cut, do some wild experiments. I stumbled across this one, a series about lamps, and had to dive a little bit deeper to find the people behind the work. you should also check out their showreel while you are at it.
O.K.
That’s it.
