Hello Friends,

Where has this year gone? It’s Winter already and it feels like I only just got rid of my Christmas tree. Anyway here is what I have for you this week.

#1 – Tim McBurnie

The character work from Australian illustrator Tim McBurnie is awesome. An amazing world builder with so much charm in his work, check it out here.

#2 – Mr. Pete & The Iron Horse

This award winning animated short is a beautiful comedy of horrors. Slick animation and a funny little story too.

#3 – Paragraphica

This is a glance into one possible future of AI. Paragraphica is a camera that takes in location data, weather, time of day to create a prompt. It then generates a “photo” based off that prompt. Super interesting little art project, also somewhat dystopic, and you can even have a go yourself here.

#4 – How To Design Fonts?

Have you ever wondered how they design fonts? It is actually more technical than you might think, but this book outlines everything you need to know in a gorgeous fashion. It would make a great gift if your birthday is coming up.

#5 – Townscaper

I came across this game, and it instantly made me happy. Townscaper is a game with no real goal but to build a cute little island town just by clicking. Controlled by an algorithm, this game is just so satisfying to watch. Have a go yourself here.
