JB's Friday 5

04082023

Hello Friends,
How good is Friday.

#1 – Alfred Liu

Illustrator Alfred Liu creates these whimsical worlds full of animals and adventure, they are magical to behold and you should check them out.

#2 – Key Lime Pie

For the longest time I thought a key lime pie was kiwi and lime flavoured. Turns out there exists something called a key lime. But I digress; this insane short film tells the story of a man willing to risk death for a bite of key lime pie, all in the style of a noir film. It’s beautiful, it’s weird, but most of all its amazing.

#3 – Beto Val

Beto Val creates these imaginary animals out of public domain vintage illustrations. His digital collages are really very impressive and you can check them out here.

#4 – Chris Millar

Minimalism is easy. Maximalism now that is really very difficult to get right. Adding in enough detail so that you just can’t possibly take it all in with one look. It’s what is missing from modern design. Chris Millar is an expert in this maximalism style. Every time I look at his sculptures I find something new to marvel at, some hidden detail that has been considered with excruciating precision. I love it.

#5 – Blocks

This game is simple and addictive and I’m sorry about your productivity for the rest of the day.

O.K.

That’s it.
